The flower is the Blue Flag the artist painted this peice to honor her Assiniboine relatives. When painted the flower appeared to look like a Jester hat and she gave the painting this name.

The plant is wild vetch used as a eye treatment for puffy eyes. The artist give names as a clue to the plant healing medicines. The beaded accents highlights the herbal properties and namesake.
